A 4-part Public Relations Course for Creatives

Offered by the public relations specialist, Kim Dearborn

Have you ever wondered how you can turn your talent or medium into an income? Regardless of your medium, it is important to understand the basic principles of business from a “startup” perspective. From ensuring brand recognition to communication strategies, Kim will demonstrate tips and techniques on how to develop the tools you need to help your customers/followers/fans understand, at a glance, what you do, why you do it, how to easily find you (or your product) and how to do so consistently across all channels. 

Attendance in all four hands-on classes will result in the creation of a two-page, concise profile you can use to market and/or promote your medium (or your brand) in the future. 

Course recordings will be made available to all participants for review after each segment of the 4-part course. Participants will be provided access to a private Monetizing Your Medium Facebook group for ongoing conversations throughout the course. 

Kim Dearborn has more than 25 years experience in marketing, public relations, editorial and content development, event photography, advertising and social media strategies. From working with a boutique PR firm in Los Angeles to director at a top technology PR firm in the Bay Area, she managed and implemented public relations and communications programs for “bleeding edge” startups, local and state agencies and large B2B enterprises. As an entrepreneur she started her own PR agency in 2017, and as an artist she brings a unique perspective to the community and is dedicated to helping educate the art and small business community in Eugene through the use of key tools and techniques employed by big business.
