WHAT IS PLAYBACK?

Playback Theatre is an improvisational social action theatre technique now practiced in 70 countries across the globe. Audience members tell stories from their lives that actors bring to life! Playback is both entertaining and curative and strives to create empathy and community connection.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Anyone and everyone who wants to tell their story. No theatre experience necessary-- just an open mind, open heart, and willingness to play!

WHY PARTICIPATE?

It’s really fun! Not only will your story be heard and brought to life on stage, you will walk away with theatre skills, physical expressiveness, and community connection. Playback Theatre fosters empathy-building through personal story.

Hannah Fox, M.A., APTT, CYT has been practicing and teaching Playback Theatre for over 30 years.
